Popeyes International Franchisee Association (PIFA) manages a quarterly magazine “PIFA News” detailing important information, blurbs, and vital news for Popeyes Franchisees.
For June 2019, PIFA interviewed Rahul Marwah as part of their Franchisee Spotlight. Described is the story of what makes Denco Family a unique organization, starting from Rai & Rajni Marwah’s purchase of a Pioneer Chicken in Whittier in 1981, to the Marwah family managing over 45 locations in 2019.
Included in the article are some great topics of discussion that show what makes Denco Family stand out as a unique experience. Whether it’s incentives built for Area Managers, automation of labor intensive tasks for efficiency, or our HR department’s promotion of self-care, we are involved in keeping our employees happy and encouraged to do an excellent job every day.
With fully-automated payroll, onboarding, time & attendance, etc., what once was cumbersome is now made easier through in-restaurant kiosk and/or mobile log in. It makes a big difference in their lifestyle, and when they are happy, everyone is happy.

Another important topic of discussion included is the importance in being up-to-date with technology. While we move forward in updating our Popeyes POS systems to NCR, we make sure that every piece of what makes us run is the latest-and-greatest. We also ensure that we can be found on as many platforms as possible, including GrubHub, Postmates, DoorDash and UberEats. Where you can find food – you can find us – and you can expect an exceptional level of quality from every avenue, every time.
Every day is a day to be your best, and Denco Family encourages that behavior among all concepts. We are glad to be recognized by PIFA for our hard work in making Denco Family what it is today.
